Scouts from across Rugby joined communities on Sunday to pause, reflect and remember. Young people from Squirrel Dreys, Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs, Scout Troops and Explorer Units came together with their adult volunteers to take part in Remembrance services and parades across the town and local villages.

Wearing their neckers with pride, our young people stood side by side with veterans, families and community groups to honour those who gave so much. For many, it was a moment to learn, to reflect and to play their part – whether that was laying a wreath, helping with readings or simply being there to show respect.

Taking part in Remembrance is an important part of what we do. It helps young people understand the world around them, appreciate the sacrifices made by others, and think about how they can make a positive difference today. It’s a chance for them to step up, speak up and gain confidence in front of their community.

A huge thank you to every young person, volunteer and caregiver who helped make this year’s events so meaningful. We’re proud of how our Scouts represented Rugby – with respect, care and a strong sense of belonging.
