Being a Cub
Cubs is the third Scout Section, for children aged 8-10½. As a Cub, you’ll get the chance to try a range of exciting activities and go on new adventures. Here’s everything you need to know.
What do Cubs do?
Get ready for excitement and adventure! Explore a wide range of activities focused on fitness, global awareness, and personal beliefs. Unleash your creativity and engage with your local community. Discover thrilling outdoor skills, take on adventurous challenges, and enjoy unforgettable camps and residential experiences.
Earning Awards
By taking part in activities Cubs will earn badges that they can proudly wear on their uniform. Completing all the challenge badges will earn Beavers the Chief Scout’s Silver Award.

As a values based movement we all make the ‘The Promise’ an oath that helps us to be our best.

Moving on to Scouts
Eventually, it will be time to say goodbye to Cubs and move onwards to Scouts.
