Being a Squirrel
Beavers is the youngest Scout Section, for children aged 4-6. As a Beaver, you’ll get the chance to try a range of exciting activities and go on new adventures. Here’s everything you need to know.
What do Squirrels do?
Working together Beavers take part in a range of activities that help them develop their skills and learn something new. Whether it’s exploring the local community or getting outside, fun is at the heart of the Beaver programme.
Earning Awards
By taking part in activities Squirrels will earn badges that they can proudly wear on their uniform. Completing all the challenge badges will earn Squirrels the Chief Scout’s Acorn Award.
Squirrels Promise
As a values based movement we all make the ‘The Promise’ an oath that helps us to be our best.
Uniform and badge placement
After you join Squirrels you will wear a uniform that lets you display all of your badges. Learn about our uniform and where to put your badges below.
Moving on to Beavers
Eventually, it will be time to say goodbye to Squirrels and move onwards and upwards to Beavers.
Squirrels Leaders
